About Me
Dr. Warren L. Miller Jr is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Rhode Island School of Social Work in Providence, RI. He is also licensed as a clinical social worker in Washington D.C., Maryland, Rhode Island, and Virginia. Warren specializes in providing individual, couples, and group therapy, clinical supervision, technical assistance to developing mental/behavioral health clinics, and more.
Warren maintains a virtual private practice that serves D.C., MD, RI, and VA. His studies and research have focused on mental health and human sexuality. Additionally, his areas of expertise are with adults with various challenges, adjustment to disease, anger management, grief and loss, and LGBTQIA issues.
Warren has presented at numerous national and regional conferences on topics such as social work ethics, ethical teletherapy practice, HIV/AIDS and social work practice, HIV stigma on the use of spirituality in social work practice, using technology in social work practice, and demystifying HIV stigma.
Warren is an interactive, humanistic, and solution focused clinician. He provides support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address the presenting challenges. Warren also consults with individuals, agencies, communities, and organizations to help build evidenced-based mental health clinics along with other tailored programs.
